We are a premier ideological National advocacy group dedicated to the socio-cultural, political, and economic advancement of the Igbo nation.
What is WUFIPA Foundation & Legacy?
Founded on June 26. 2014, by Rev. Dr. Onyekachukwu Edwin ChukwudireObi. WUFIPA was established with a clear vision to unify the Igbo voice. We are formally recognized and registered under Act No.1(1990) Part C-IT/No.70457
Is WUFIPA a Political Organization?
No. WUFIPA is not a political body. We are a National Advocacy and Mobilization Group. But we are deeply involved in political alignments and support for credible democratic leadership at all levels. Our major goal is to influence the democratic processes in the country to favor the interest of the Igbo nation-regardless of party lines.
What is the meaning of Aborigines in your name?
In WUFIPA’s context, Aborigines refers to the indigenous sons and daughters of Igboland-the original inhabitants and custodians of our ancestral heritage(Umu Okpu).
It emphasizes our deep-rooted connection to our land and our responsibility to protect it.
Who can join WUFIPA?
Membership is open to all Patriots and Aborigines, both at home and in the diaspora, who are committed to the growth and progress of the Igbo nation and are willing to work toward regional cohesion and economic advancement- irrespective of religious or political affiliations.
How is the Organization funded?
WUFIPA is funded through the voluntary contributions, dues, and donations of its patriotic members and supporters who believe in the vision of a prosperous Southeast.
