Shadows From Within

Shadows From Within is a political thriller set in Tin City, state of Hill Land, Northern Central Nigeria. It centres around the interplay between political actors tussling for power. It focuses on stark greed for political power, which typifies politics in Africa, with interplay of political forces as policians gear up for a local election. Alhaji Garbasa Munir and his arch rival, Chief Earnest Mandung, match each other in a political tsunami. The story depicts the manner the political class exploits and exercabates clefts through religion and tribe. The story unfolds around the love relationship between Hadi Adamu, an upcoming artist and Hafsat Nunku, the art editor of a thriving newspaper, the Sword and the daughter of one of the top politicians. From the time Hadi met Hafsat in a neighbourhood store, they struck a chemistry together but they went their separate ways. Fate somehow found a way to bring them together again, when Hafsat was scheduled to interview a couple of artists attending the annual conference of the Society for Naija Artists, an umbrella body for artists in the country.
